Over 6,800 pedestrian deaths in Karnataka in three years, data shows
A year-wise analysis of the data shows that pedestrian fatalities have remained consistently high. In 2022, the State reported 2,105 deaths, which rose sharply to 2,418 in 2023 before slightly declining to 2,321 in 2024 (provisional).
Maha’s commercial LPG quota hiked to 50% of pre-war level
According to the state government, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas approved an additional 20% allocation of commercial LPG for Maharashtra in a letter dated March 21 to all chief secretaries. The state had earlier been receiving 30% supply, and from March 23, the allocation will increase to 50% of the pre-crisis level until further orders
