69th All India School Kabaddi Competition at Dhanpur, Dahod: Players show enthusiasm in the presence of Minister Bachubhai Khabad at Dungarpur Tribal Ashram School

The 69th All India School Kabaddi Competition was organized at Adivasi Ashram School, Dungarpur in Dhanpur taluka of Dahod district. The special presence of Panchayat and Agriculture Minister Bachubhai Khabad in this sports event gave the program a ronak. Abhesing Mohaniya, executive president of district panchayat Dahod, was present on the occasion. Taluka Panchayat President Abhesing Mohaniya was also present. Members of district panchayat, members of taluka panchayat, sarpanch of Dungarpur and Dhanpur and taluka sports convener Rakesh Khabde were also present. A large number of players, villagers and sports lovers enthusiastically participated in the event. The competition provides an important platform for students of schools across the country. The players performed their skills, strength and teamwork to the best. The programme was successful in promoting a traditional Indian sport like Kabaddi. The young players showed their talent. During the program, Minister Bachubhai Khabde encouraged the players and said that sports promote physical and mental development among the youth. He said sports inculcate qualities like discipline, cooperation and leadership in the youth. He also praised the planning and local administration of the Tribal Ashram School. Local villagers also turned up to cheer up the players and made the competition memorable. Sports activities are encouraged in rural areas through such programmes.
