Surat Food Safety : In order to ensure that the food is of good quality to the food-loving Suratis, the health department of the municipality conducts the task of collecting food samples. The bmc had collected samples of food items from different parts of the city between 2024 and July this year. Of these, sub-standard 210, Miss Brand 18, and unsafe 9 samples have been released and 395 cases have been decided. In a span of one-and-a-half years, not one or two but nine samples have been declared unsafe, which remains dangerous for suratis.
The food of Surat, famous for its taste in the world, is now becoming a threat to the health of the people.
