A heart-wrenching incident has come to light near Gangapur village in Dediapada taluka of Narmada district. The accident occurred when the driver of an Eco van coming at full speed hit the family riding the bike. A total of four people, including a one-and-a-half-year-old child and a 15-year-old girl, were killed in the tragic accident. Police have arrested the van driver who caused the accident and are taking legal action. According to reports, 67-year-old Hawlabhai Hathiabhai Vasava, a resident of Mandir Falia in Olgam in Chikda taluka, was on his way to Gangapur Hospital with his family members on a bike. They were accompanied by Rakeshbhai Vasava, 15-year-old Suhani Vasava and one-and-a-half-year-old Viram Vasava of Rudhigawan village in Umarpada. The four persons were thrown on the road when the Eco van hit them near Gangapur. The accident was so horrific that Hawlabhai, Pakkaben and Masum Viram died on the spot. The 15-year-old, who was critically injured, was rushed to Rajpipla Civil Hospital, but she too succumbed to her injuries after a short treatment. Thus, the negligence of the van driver has killed four members of the smiling family. The Dediapada police have detained the van driver and started further investigation.
