The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Sabarkantha, Aravalli and Banaskantha districts, where light rains may occur. Apart from this, scattered rain has been predicted for the next 7 days across the state. Ahmedabad, the financial capital of the state, is also likely to receive light to moderate rains. So far, Gujarat has recorded 19% more rainfall than normal in the monsoon, which is good news for farmers
