Vadodara, Nov 9 (IANS) With the announcement of the local body elections, the police have also become alert and are rushing to speed up the smuggling of liquor. Two men were nabbed while carrying a quantity of beer in Waghodia.
According to the information received, on the basis of information that two persons were going to pass by with a quantity of liquor on a two-wheeler from Bhanpura to Rustampura, Waghodia police set up a watch and stopped the vehicle and checked their luggage and found 593 beer tins worth Rs 1.18 lakh.
