Surat : The pay and park contracts given by the Surat Municipal Corporation on public roads are becoming a disaster for the people. Pay and park contractors are robbing motorists at several places in the city. The bmc has fixed a minimum charge of Rs 10 for the bike, but the contractors are charging double the price from the drivers by tampering with the machine. After receiving a complaint from the municipality in this regard, the municipality has started an investigation.
The Surat Municipal Corporation has awarded pay and park contracts at several places in the city for the source of income.
