Vadodara: A group of people from Vadodara city will collect all kinds of plastic for environmental protection at Yavateshwar Ghat on the banks of Vishwamitri river and to prevent the erosion of the ghat on the banks of the river, waste plastic in plastic bottles will be installed on the shore by making its eco-brick.
More than 25 sisters of the group as well as other volunteers have started this campaign with the intention of reducing the use of plastic by the people as much as possible, stopping the erosion of Vishwamitri by eco-brick and doing something for the society.
Under this campaign, eco-bricks will be installed on the banks of each ghat of Vishwamitri and plantation will be done in the next space so that soil erosion can be stopped and the level of the river is maintained, the 47-year-old member of the group said, adding that every sister of this group reduces the use of plastic as it has been for years.
In this campaign, if there is a good response in collecting plastic from the public, then in the coming time, we will recycle the waste plastic and make benches and distribute it to various schools of Vadodara, so that waste plastic can be used and the piles of plastic waste on the ground can be reduced.
