Rajkot: As the elections to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (MCC) were announced as expected, there was a huge rush at Rajkot Kamalam to get the ticket, the first phase of the BJP's assumption of power. Around 700 candidates rushed for tickets for 48 seats in 12 wards, whose names, including details, have been recorded by observers.
In the last election, the BJP had set the criteria for who would get the ticket.
