FIR filed against Salman Khan, Aamir Khan's heroine: Actress Shweta Menon accused of making money by making pornographic films and advertisements
Kerala's Ernalam Central Police has registered an FIR against actress Shweta Menon. This action has been taken under Section 67A of the Information Technology Act, 2000. According to a report in The Hindu, the FIR alleges that Shweta had done scenes depicting obscenity in some films. These films include 'Paleri Manikyam', 'Ratnirvandam', 'Kalimannu' (in which he was shown the actual video of the delivery) and the advertisement of a condom brand. It is alleged that parts of these films and advertisements have appeared on social media and adult websites. The complaint states that such material was used to gain popularity and earn money. The FIR has been registered on the direction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Ernakulam. The complaint was filed by a man named Martin Menachery. The police have also added sections 3 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act to the FIR. Police say an investigation will be launched into the matter. Section 67A of the IT Act deals with the publication or transmission of material containing sexually explicit acts in electronic form. Shweta has appeared in many Hindi films. She was a dancer in the song 'Humko Tumse Pyar Hai' from the 1997 film 'Ishq'. The film starred Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla in lead roles. After this Shweta was also seen in Salman Khan's film 'Bandhan'. Talking about Shweta's personal life, her first marriage was to Bobby Bhonsle, who later broke up. Then in 2011, she married Srivalson Menon for the second time. They have a daughter.
