iPhone, Mac, and iPad users beware! Government issues alert for Apple devices, do this work now or it will cause damage
Apple Devices: The Indian government's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a fresh and severe warning to Apple users. This advisory states that critical security flaws have been found in many Apple devices, which are placed in the 'High Severity' category. These bugs can allow cyberattackers to steal sensitive information, crash systems, bypass security features, or take complete control of the device
CERT-In Report (CIVN-2025-0163), these dangerous bugs may affect the following Apple software versions:
iPhones: versions prior to iOS 18.6
iPads: before iPadOS 17.7.9 and 18.6
MacBooks: macOS Sequoia (before 15.6), Sonoma (before 14.7.7), Ventura (before 13.7.7)
Apple Watch: before watchOS 11.6
Apple TV: before tvOS 18.6
Vision Pro: before visionOS 2.6
What is the risk?
If these bugs are exploited, the user may face the following risks:
- access or hacking of personal and sensitive data
- Remotely Execution of malware or code
- device system crash or Denial of Service (DoS) attack
- Loss of control or data loss and loss of identity over the entire device
- All of this together poses a serious threat to your digital life and personal information.
Apple has released OTA (Over-the-Air) updates to fix these security flaws. That's why all iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other Apple device users should update their devices immediately.
