A dangerous asteroid is coming from space to Earth. It is scheduled to pass close to earth on Sunday i.e. June 11, 2023.  This is dangerous because it is the size of burj khalifa. Which is equal to the tallest building in the world.

This asteroid will leave from about 31 lakh kilometers away from the Earth. This distance is eight times the distance between the Earth and the Moon. But for whatever reason if there is a change in its direction. So it can turn the earth into ashes. When such a large asteroid collides with the Earth, it can cause terrible destruction.

Asteroid Name 1994XD

The name of this asteroid is 1994XD. Its width is 1200 to 2700 feet. The problem is not that it is the only asteroid. Instead it is about to pass out of the earth's side with the moon, which is a very dangerous situation. That is, a moon also revolves around this asteroid.

What does NASA have to say?

NASA believes that it will leave the Earth at a safe distance, but we will keep it in the list of dangerous asteroids. Because its size and distance from the earth... Makes it deadly. Any stone coming from space, which is larger than 460 feet and at a distance of 74.8 km from Earth, is considered dangerous.

According to the scientists, there is no possibility of the asteroid colliding for the next 1000 years. But any asteroid can prove to be dangerous for earth. If there is a slight change in its direction and speed.

Last year, through the DART mission, one of the two asteroid systems collided with a small asteroid satellite. After this, the direction of the asteroid changed. This was done so that in the future, if an asteroid came towards the Earth, it would be destroyed by a rocket. or change its direction in space.

If an asteroid comes at a distance of 1.3  astronomical units from The Earth, it is called near-Earth objects (NEO). In the year 2005, NASA conducted a study and said that most of the objects near the Earth are 460 feet wide.
