Congress' Rishirajsinh Jadeja joins BJP The active leader of 2 wears saffron in the presence of Binaben Kothari

Amid the echoes of the upcoming Jamnagar Municipal Corporation elections, major changes are being seen in the city's politics. Rishirajsinh Jadeja, a Congress activist from Ward No. 2 of the city, has formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She wore a saffron scarf at the hands of city BJP president Binaben Kothari. Earlier, Rishirajsinh Jadeja had written a letter to the Congress high command resigning from all his posts and primary membership. Initially, he cited 'personal reasons' but soon put an end to speculation by joining the BJP. Along with Rishiraj Singh, his circle of friends and a large number of supporters also donned the attire of the BJP. Rishiraj Singh, who is dominant in the Shantinagar area, is expected to join the BJP in Ward No. 2. The incident of quitting the party as soon as the municipal elections are announced could prove to be a major blow to the Congress. In his resignation letter, he thanked the Congress for its guidance and opportunity. "For the development of Jamnagar and impressed by the policies of the BJP, I and my colleagues have decided to join the BJP," he said. It will be interesting to see what results this shift in Jamnagar politics brings in the upcoming elections.
