A massive fire broke out in a house in Manli village of Limkheda taluka last night. In this incident, the entire house and house of Maheshbhai Pratapbhai Patel were burnt to ashes. Fortunately, the family members and the animals were rescued, due to which a major loss of life was averted. According to the information received, Maheshbhai's family was preparing to sleep after dinner. The fire broke out in a part of the building around 10 pm. As soon as the fire broke out, the family members rushed out of the building using a timer. He also saved his life as he released the animals tied up in the courtyard of the house in time. As Maheshbhai's house was made of raw and wood and the strong wind was strong at night, the fire took a fierce form in no time. The flames rose so high that they were clearly visible from a distance. As soon as the incident was reported, a large number of nearby villagers rushed to the spot and tried to douse the fire with water. After informing the Devgadh Baria Fire Department, a team of firefighters immediately reached Manli village. A convoy of emergency service 108 and Limkheda police also reached the spot. However, the wooden house was completely gutted before the fire team arrived. The fire department managed to control the fire by preventing it from spreading further. In this fire, all the household items including grains, living belongings and cash in the house of Maheshbhai Patel were gutted in this fire. Though there were no casualties, the fire has caused a huge financial loss to the family. The police and local administration are currently working to assess the damage.
