Thursday is the 9th day of the monsoon session of Parliament. Lok Sabha proceedings began at 11 am. The opposition created a ruckus on the issue of Bihar water verification and imposition of tariffs by the US. The House was then adjourned till 2 pm. In fact, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced to impose a 25% tariff on India from August 1. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi said, "Everyone has seen what the US President said on tariffs. Prime Minister Modi goes everywhere, makes friends and then this is what we get in return. Earlier, opposition MPs, including Priyanka, staged a protest at The Makar Gate of Parliament against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) related to voters of Bihar. Leaders of the India bloc held a meeting at the Office of the Leader of The Opposition (LoP) in the Rajya Sabha at 10 am on Thursday. In which the future strategy was discussed.
