This is the second time in the last nine days that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has threatened the officials of the Election Commission. While coming out of Parliament on Friday, Rahul had said in an interaction with the media that the Election Commission was stealing votes. We have an atom bomb. The Election Commission will not be able to survive when it explodes. We will not spare those involved in stealing votes in the Election Commission because you are working against India, which is treason. Wherever you are, even if you retire, we will not leave you. Earlier on July 24, Rahul had said, "I want to give a message to the Election Commission. If you think you will be saved from this, if your officers think they will be saved from this, then it is your fault. We won't let you escape," He said, hitting out at election officials. August 1, 2025: I have 100 per cent evidence of theft, says Rahul, adding that he is not saying this lightly, but with 100 per cent evidence. As soon as we release it, the entire country will know that the Election Commission is working to steal votes for the BJP. We had doubts in the Madhya Pradesh elections, the Lok Sabha elections, our doubts deepened during the Maharashtra elections. July 24, 2025: If you think you will survive, it is your fault, Rahul said, "The Election Commission has cheated on one seat in Karnataka. We have 100% evidence of this. In the same constituency, thousands of new voters in the age group of 50, 60 and 65 years have been added to the list and voters above 18 years of age have been removed from the list. I am sure the same drama is going on in every seat. I want to send a message to the Election Commission. If you feel that you will get away with this, then it is your mistake," he said, adding that the entire opposition, including Rahul Gandhi, has been criticising the Election Commission over Bihar voter verification. The opposition is protesting inside and outside Parliament. Meanwhile, in Bihar, the Election Commission has issued a new draft of the voter list to the political parties today i.e. on Friday. According to the first phase of electoral roll revision of the Election Commission in Bihar, the total number of voters has come down to 7.24 crore, from 7.89 crore earlier, i.e. the names of about 65 lakh voters have been deleted from the list. The reason behind deleting the names includes those who are no longer in this world. Apart from this, those who have permanently migrated to another place or whose names have been registered twice. According to the information, 22 lakh voters have died, 36 lakh voters have been found to have migrated to other places and 7 lakh people have become permanent residents in the new place. This special campaign started from 24th June 2025 SIR was launched on 24th June 2025. Its main objective was to remove false, duplicate and transferred voters from the list and to add new eligible voters. Under this work, forms were taken from 7.24 crore voters. The first phase was completed by July 25, 2025, with 99.8% coverage.
