Land scam: Sagar Phultariya on one-and-a-half-day remand in bogus farmer's Athadar case

The CID team has arrested the accused Sagar Fultariya, who was caught in 602 land in Morbi. He was produced before the court today with a demand for remand. The court granted one-and-a-half-day remand of the accused till 5 pm on August 5. The investigation in the case is going on on the basis of explosive statements of the deceased Maheshbhai and his daughter Dharmisthaben. Government officials are also likely to be involved in this bogus farmer landlord scam. Mahesh Prabhashankar Rawal, a resident of Sarvad village in Malia (Mi), along with his three children, had obtained a bogus inheritance by showing a woman named Hansaben as a daughter in the affidavit. On the basis of this, the woman was made an heir in the agricultural land in the revenue records. The present talati minister of Sarawad village had lodged a complaint against Mahesh Prabhashankar Rawal and others at Malia Miyana taluka police station in May last year in connection with the scam. The crime is being probed by Rajkot rural CID PI K K Jadeja. They took possession of the accused Sagar Phultariya from jail and arrested him in the bogus farmer's landlord chapter of Malia. This information has been received from Manish Pandya, assistant public prosecutor of Malia (Mi). Sagar Phultariya was earlier arrested from Delhi by the CID in the controversial 602 land scams of Gujarat, including Morbi. On completion of his remand, he was handed over to jail by a team of Gandhinagar CID crime. He has since been arrested for the offence. The petition was filed before the offence was filed in the bogus farmer's landlord chapter of Malia. The statements of the deceased Maheshbhai Rawal and his daughter Dharmisthaben Rawal were taken to investigate the application. Based on these statements, an investigation is currently underway.
