Vadodara: The Gujarat State Employees' Federation has made a representation to the Chief Minister to make the health-oriented employees working on the basis of equal work equal pay contract permanent.
Employees have said that at present, doctors, pharmacists and other health workers are given 11 months contractual appointment. At the end of the contract, the same person is re-appointed at the same place by giving a break of one day. And with social and family responsibilities, other job options begin to decline.
All employees in Manipur have been made permanent in January 2022. Similarly we are also requested to make it permanent.
