Surat Municipal Commissioner M. Nagarajan has issued an important notification. According to the notification, in the new East (Sarthana) zone area of Surat, T.P. Scheme No. Development works will be taken up in 84 (Kosad-Bharthana, Kosad-Motavarachha-Abrama). Traffic diversions have been forced on the roads connecting the Ring Road at Gopin Circle Junction as the work of constructing storm box drains has to be started on both sides of the Outer Ring Road. Due to this work, From 5th April, 2026 to 5th April, 2026 These routes will remain closed for all types of vehicular and pedestrian traffic till May 15, 2026. Alternate route for vehicles wanting to proceed from Nand Chowk towards Ring Road
Elaborate arrangements have been made by the administration for the convenience of the citizens. Vehicles wanting to proceed from Nand Chowk (Mota Varachha) towards Ring Road will have to take a left turn from Mota Varachha Abrama Check Post crossroads and after walking about 350 metres, turn right and proceed towards the Ring Road via Kashtabhanjan Chowk. Similarly, motorists coming from Ring Road towards Nand Chowk will be able to take a left or right turn from Kashtabhanjan Chowk and use other internal roads. This has been done so that the construction work can be done without any hindrance and the citizens have to face minimum inconvenience. Special instructions have also been issued for traffic coming from Abrama village. Vehicles going from Abrama village towards the Ring Road will have to take a right turn from Gopin Riverville Three Road and after 280 metres, take a left turn from the Pramukh Exotica crossroads towards the Ring Road. On the other hand, people who want to go towards Abrama village from the Ring Road will be able to take a turn from Kashtabhanjan Chowk and enter Abrama village via the Gopin Riverville Three Road via Pramukh Exotica crossroads. Surat Mahanagar Seva Sadan has appealed to all to strictly adhere to all these rules and cooperate till the work is completed.
