There is a discussion among cricket fans that now Team India will never play a bilateral series with Bangladesh. In fact, the bitterness between the relations between the two countries has fueled such discussions. The dispute between India and Bangladesh started after the IPL 2026 auction, when there was a ruckus over the purchase of Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman by KKR. After this, Bangladesh refused to play the 2026 T20 World Cup in India, citing security reasons. Since then, there has been no cricket match between the two countries. Meanwhile, former Bangladesh cricketer and current board president Tamim Iqbal has made a big statement on the series between the two countries.

BCB chief Tamim Iqbal is hopeful that India will come to Bangladesh and play a bilateral series. He says that both the boards are looking for a proper window for this in their busy schedules.

Let us tell you that the Indian team will be in August-September 2026. The tour of Bangladesh was to go on a tour of Bangladesh, where it was to play a three-match ODI series and an equal number of T20 series, but this series has been postponed for the time being.

Tamim Iqbal said on the YouTube channel 'Not Out Noman', "It has not been decided yet that (the series against India) will not happen. Let me give you one information. Both the boards are very serious about it. Both the BCCI and the BCB are looking at the right time (window). We are thinking of a date whether it can happen at that time or not. If the intention was negative, today I would not have said to you 'let's see what happens, we hope. I don't even say that word. The intentions are very positive."
