In Savarkundla, the municipality laid the foundation stone of the Nal Se Jal project at a cost of Rs 19 crore. City dwellers will get rid of fluoride-rich water in the coming days. At present, the people of Savarkundla are provided with 48 borewells and drinking water from a depth of 800 feet. Water from Shell Dedumal dam will be pumped into the filter plant for 7 km in Savarkundla. The water will be distributed to all areas of the city. Water was the main problem here for the last several years. Because at 800 feet there is water down in the ground. That water was not fit to drink. Even in the bore, there was a situation of whether there was water or not. Due to which there was a problem of water. In order to ensure that the city gets pure water at the same time, The Neer of Narmada will come to the dam from Shel Dedumal. Drinking water from Shell Dedumal will come up to Savarkundla. Savarkundla MLA Maheshbhai Kaswala's presentation was finally a success. The nal se jal scheme was inaugurated by the municipality at a cost of Rs 19 crore. Iffco Chairman Dilipbhai Sanghani, MLA Maheshbhai Kaswala, Amar Dairy Chairman Ashwinbhai Savaliya, Bhavnaben Gondaliya, Jivanbhai Vekariya, Municipality President Mehulbhai Trivedi and others were present on the occasion. What will be built in the project? An underground sump of 8 lakh litres and a 20-metre high water tank with a capacity of 5 lakh litres will be constructed in the Khadi office area at Nal Se Jal project in Kundla, an underground sump of 10 lakh litres and a 20-metre high water tank with a capacity of 5 lakh litres at Kundla crematorium and Hatsani Road. Apart from this, a new well will be constructed in Shell Dedumal Dam. Also, a pipeline of 600 mm dia meter will be worked from the dam to WTP Hathasani Road.
