Gujarat model poll opens: Sargarbha reaches hospital with her in a basket, dies due to lack of timely treatment

Gujarat Health Department: Gujarat is making strides in the health sector. Even today, health facilities have not been able to reach the last village. The claims of the state health department have been blown out of proportion as a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital by villagers due to lack of roads in the interiors of Chhota Udepur, but unfortunately, due to lack of timely treatment, Prasuta breathed her last in the hospital premises.

This incident has exposed the Gujarat model. In Rajkot, a migrant pregnant woman had to deliver in the hospital premises. The shameful incident in a developed Rajkot had raised questions against the health system. However, the hospital authorities denied this.

In Rajkot, a pregnant woman was delivered in the premises of a hospital.

A woman from Turkheda village in the upper reaches of the Narmada dam in Kawant taluka of Chhotaudepur district, a border and tribal belt of the state, has lost her life due to lack of roads.

There are no internal pucca roads to come to this village, so when someone needs treatment in the village, he is made into a swing and put in it and lifted for five kilometers. After being taken up, a vehicle is available. A pregnant woman from Baskaria Phulia in Turkheda village needed treatment after she complained of labour pains at 5 am.

The health of the pregnant woman, who was suffering from labour pains, was also deteriorating. There was no way to go to the village as well as there was no  mobile network, so there was a serious situation, so the  family left to take the child to the hospital.

While walking a distance of about five kilometres, the woman delivered on the way and gave birth to a newborn baby girl, but the child's health deteriorated so much that she died without immediate treatment.

Medical tourism is being propagated in Gujarat. Patients from all over the country come to Gujarat to get treatment. In fact, the bitter fact is that even today, health facilities have not been able to reach the last village. There were two incidents on Tuesday that exposed the grim reality of the Gujarat model.

A new sample of Tumarshahi has been seen in Rajkot today at a government hospital in Gujarat. She was brought by 108 vans to The Padmakunwarba Government Hospital on Gundawadi-Canal Road in Rajkot with labour pains. Meanwhile, the woman's husband was first sent by the hospital staff to file a case.

So even though the woman was in pain, she was walking behind her husband towards the case. In the meantime, a shocking incident has come to light that he was delivered there due to unbearable pain in the premises of the hospital itself.

According to the details received in this regard, a 26-year-old woman from a Hindi-speaking family of Bihar, who was working as a labourer living in Vavdi area of Rajkot, was brought to Padmakunwarba Hospital at 10 am by 108 after she complained of labour pains.

The woman was allotted a bed in a room but her husband was asked to come out with the case first. The woman started following her husband as he walked towards the case bar in the hospital ground and did not bother to stop the woman from the hospital staff or check her physical condition.

The woman walked a few steps at around 10.30 am in half an hour after she was admitted, when she  fell down in severe pain and as soon as the hospital staff reached there, the baby's mouth came out of the woman's womb.

Dr Nutanben Lungassar, superintendent of the hospital, said the woman was allotted a room at the hospital, accompanied by only her husband. The woman stood behind her as her husband set out to get the case out so the delivery was delivered just a hundred and one meters away from the OT.
