The alarming level of Vishwamitri is 26 feet. This morning, the river was flowing about a foot below this level and the level was increasing at a slow pace, so the flood crisis was standing on its head. Even in Ajwa Lake, the level was rising at a slow pace.
After heavy rains in Vadodara yesterday and the income from the upstream, the water level of the Vishwamitri river moved very fast. Due to which the corporation's system was also running. People were terrified of the fear that the flood would come for the third time. Until last night, the level was not rising very fast. The level had reached 24 feet at two o'clock in the night. After that the rise in the surface continued at a slow pace. The river level rose by a little over a foot in ten hours from 2pm to 11am. At Ajwa too the level was 213.13 feet at 11 pm last night.
Which has increased by 0.20 after 17 hours today. Due to the stoppage of rain, the pace of increase in the level has decreased. On the other hand, due to the spread of rumors in Vadodara city, it has been clarified by the corporation system that no one should pay attention to the rumors. Water from Ajwa lake and Pratappura lake will not be released into vishwamitri river. Water has entered the low-lying areas as the level of Vishwamitri has gone up to 25 feet.
Two teams of NDRF have been kept on standby by the system and have been deployed for rescue operations. Due to the flood crisis today, schools and M.S. Uni. it was closed. The system believes that it should not rain during the time the water has started receding. If it rains, the situation is likely to become worrisome again.
