Ahmedabad: Three labourers injured as dome built for inauguration of new Police Commissioner's office collapses even before Amit Shah inaugurates it

The new police commissioner's office of Ahmedabad city police has been mired in controversies ahead of its inauguration. After the suicide of a policeman in the compound of the new police commissioner's office, now union home minister Amit Shah has crashed into a part of the huge dome being built for the inauguration ceremony even before the inauguration of the new police commissioner's office. As many as three labourers were trapped when part of the dome collapsed. The policemen present pulled out the trapped labourers. The injured have been shifted to civil hospital for treatment where their condition is said to be stable. Union Home Minister to inaugurate new Police Commissioner's office According to the information received, a new Police Commissioner's Office has been prepared in the Shahibaug Police Headquarters, which is to be inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on October 3, i.e. on the first day of Navratri. A huge dome is being prepared in the compound of the new police commissioner's office itself for the inauguration ceremony of the Union Home Minister, whose work was going on. Meanwhile, a portion of a dome suddenly collapsed this morning and fell on three labourers working there, causing injuries to them. Workers killed as part of the dome collapses Some policemen were present when the dome collapse incident took place. They immediately rushed to the spot and pulled out the trapped labourers. The labourers were rushed to Asarwa Civil Hospital by 108 with injuries. The three labourers were reported to have sustained minor injuries. The tragedy has come to light even before the inauguration of the new police commissioner's office. Were the labourers who were working given safety equipment or not? It will also be investigated whether the work was being carried out properly under the supervision of a contractor. The labourers were rushed to a hospital for treatment after they sustained injuries. The inauguration of the new police commissioner's office has now sparked a debate that minor accidents are taking place even before the inauguration takes place. On August 15, a police constable committed suicide by shooting himself with his rifle in the new police commissioner's office. Two days before committing suicide, he was put on duty at the new police commissioner's office and then committed suicide in the police commissioner's office within two days. After this, now when the new Police Commissioner's Office is about to be inaugurated, there has been an incident of injuries to the laborers due to the collapse of its part while building a huge dome.
