Train stopped for 1 hour to rescue injured crocodile on Karjan railway track

Vadodara: A train had to be stopped for more than an hour to rescue an injured crocodile found on the Karjan railway track near Vadodara.

Karjan's RFO Jayeshbhai Rathod and the team were on the job after receiving information that a five-foot crocodile was lying in an injured condition on the railway track near Khandha village near Karjan between Vadodara and Bharuch yesterday afternoon.

Railway authorities stopped the goods train passing through it for more than an hour to save the life of the crocodile.

The forest team was also joined by the jeevadaya activists and rescued the crocodile very carefully. The crocodile was treated at  Anand due to injuries to the jaw and was brought to Vadodara from there.
