Vadodara Rain Update : The dangerous level of Vishwamitri river in Vadodara is 26 feet, this morning the Vishwamitri river was flowing only one foot below this level. Although the rain has stopped since last night and is open today, but the level of the river is increasing at a slower pace than on Sunday, so the flood crisis is still looming in Vadodara, now the city can survive the third flood only if there is no heavy rain.
The level also rises at a much slower pace in Ajwa lake as compared to Sunday. The water level in the Vishwamitri river rose very fast after heavy rains lashed Vadodara on Sunday and the inflow of water from upstream. Due to which the corporation's system was also running. People were terrified of the fear that there would be a third flood. Till last night, the level was rising very fast. At two o'clock in the night, the level reached 24 feet.
However, since then the rise in the level has been happening at a slow pace, so the system has become a little more relaxed. From 2 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the river's level has risen by 1.03 feet. At Ajwa Lake too, the level was 213.13 feet at 11 pm last night. After 12 hours today, it has increased by 0.16. The ajwa level is currently 213.26 feet. The pace of rising levels has slowed down as the rains have stopped.
On the other hand, due to the spread of rumors in Vadodara city, it has been clarified by the corporation system that no one should pay attention to rumors. Water from Ajwa lake and Pratappura lake will not be released into vishwamitri river. So far, 200 people have been evacuated by the corporation. Water has entered the low lying areas along the river bank. Two NDRF teams have been kept on standby by the system and have been deployed for rescue operations.
In view of today's situation, the schools of Vadodara and M. S. The university has been closed. At present, the water that is increasing in the river increases due to the rains of vishwamitri's upstream. Normally, after the rains, the water continues to flow at a slow pace for 24 hours. The corporation's machinery believes that now the level will gradually stabilize and the water will start receding after hours, but it should not rain during that time. If it rains, the situation is likely to become worrisome again.
