As many as 14,551 vehicles passed through Gambhira Bridge in 24 hours
Vadodara: The collapsed Gambhira bridge has been repaired and reopened. In the last 24 hours, 1,551 two-wheelers have passed through the bridge .The road and buildings department had launched an exercise to reconnect the two districts after the incident of the Gambhira bridge collapse. The bridge has been opened for two-wheelers after carrying out all safety checks, including load testing, by installing an iron structure over the broken part of the old bridge. At present, the necessary deflection testing and vibration testing to monitor the ongoing traffic is continuing.
Computer engineering student commits suicide
Vadodara: A third-year engineering student committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of his apartment in Vadodara. According to police sources, 21-year-old Sairaj Arunbhai Haral, a resident of Sahitya Green near Waghodia Chowk, Madhavpura, is a native of Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. He was studying in the third year of computer science at Parul University in Waghodia . Three other friends , who lived here with him, had committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of his apartment at half-past four in the morning.
