Vadodara: The collapsed Gambhira bridge has been repaired and reopened. In the last 24 hours, 1,551 two-wheelers have passed through the bridge .
The road and buildings department had launched an exercise to reconnect the two districts after the incident of the Gambhira bridge collapse. The bridge has been opened for two-wheelers after carrying out all safety checks, including load testing, by installing an iron structure over the broken part of the old bridge.
At present, the necessary deflection testing and vibration testing to monitor the ongoing traffic is continuing.
