Bhaskar Inside: A man with a matching name sold the farmer's land repeatedly

The original farmer had lodged a complaint of cheating at the Nandasan police station against six persons, including the witness, who had signed the land by selling the land repeatedly for Rs 35 lakh by making a power of attorney for another farmer's land. Rameshbhai Atmarambhai Shankardas Patel, who lives in Kayal village in Kadi taluka and works in a private company, owns land with 512 survey number in the outskirts of the village under independent ownership. In January 2025, when Rameshbhai took away his land, it was revealed that Thakor Khodaji Velaji was also named as a co-owner along with him. When he came to know that he had sold the land owned by him to Thakor Khodaji Velaji, he got copies of the sale deed. Despite the bank's burden of Rs 2 lakh on the land, the bank's dues certificate was presented in the document Generally, a crop loan is taken by the farmer on any land and its burden is on the land and the sale deed of that land can be done only if the bank or local body gives a certificate at the time of sale. Even in this case of repeated sale of the land, rameshbhai's land was burdened with two lakh rupees, but after repaying the loan repeatedly by someone other than the original owner, the no dues certificate of the Bank of Baroda Nandasan branch has also been presented in the sale document. Thus, despite the burden on the land of the original owner, to whom he paid the loan and how the bank removed that burden and gave a no-dues certificate has become a matter of investigation for the police. A complaint has been lodged against these six persons. Rameshbhai Atmaram Madhavdas Patel stayed at Kayal, Khodaji Velajithakor stayed at Vayana Ta Kalol, Ravi Dalsukhbhai Desai stayed at Krishnadham Colony, Chandkheda Ahmedabad, Ganesh Raghunath Desai, Sitla Paruramosana near railway crossing in Mehsana, Hardik Rameshbhai Atmaram Patel stayed kayal and Bharatbhai Mafabhai Rabari stayed in Kadi
