A young man who was injured in an accident at Bhopal railway station in Madhya Pradesh on the night of March 31 succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment on Friday. He succumbed to his injuries at Hamidia Hospital around 5 pm. The deceased has been identified as Sikandar, a resident of Bihar. His age is said to be between 25 and 28 years. 14 seconds CCTV footage of the accident has come out. In this, the youth is seen boarding a moving train on platform number 6. In a few seconds it hits the door of the coach and gets stuck between the train and the platform. Within 5 seconds, it is dragged 4-5 times and then dragged underneath the train.
Lost balance while trying to board a moving train
According to the GRP, the youth was trying to board a moving train. During this time his balance deteriorated and he got stuck between the train and the platform. He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition after the accident but was not in a position to give a statement. Bhopal-Indore Express meets with a 40-speed accident
The incident took place at around 11:31 pm, when the 19304 Bhopal-Indore Express was passing through the station. According to initial estimates, the speed of the train was around 40 kmph. During this time, the youth was seriously injured several times between the train and the platform. Immediately after the incident, he was rushed to Hamidia Hospital by a 108 ambulance. Eyewitness Halkebhai Lodhi said that there was chaos on the platform after the accident. At the behest of the GRP, he went to the hospital with the injured youth. One of his hands was broken and he had a serious head injury even though he was breathing. Lodhi stayed in the hospital till 4 am. The youth claimed to be from Bihar. According to GRP SP Rahul Lodha, CCTV footage and preliminary investigations have not revealed any criminal conspiracy. The matter is currently under investigation.
