In 2021, the Department of Vehicles had issued a special number plate of the Bharat number plate series for central government employees. However, now a new system has been created for the people through which they can go to the office and get the name transferred. The process is being completed by calling people whose application was pending by calling them to the office. An Ahmedabad RTO official said that with the government making rules for four years, the problem of people having Bharat Number Plate series vehicles has come to an end. At present, no online process has been started to transfer the name, the application can be made offline by going to the office. The office will have to carry an original copy of all the proofs such as insurance, PUC, RC and government approved identity card. After this, physical verification of the vehicle will be done. A new number is allotted immediately after paying the tax.
