'Remove pressure from outside Geeta Mandir bus stand': ST department writes to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Police Commissioner, commuters harassed due to lorry gallas and rickshaw pullers

The state's largest Gujarat State ST Corporation bus stand is located at Geetamandir in Ahmedabad. There is a huge problem with traffic and pressures outside the ST bus stand in Ahmedabad, which is considered to be the busiest. The Divisional Director of Ahmedabad Division of Gujarat ST Corporation has written a letter to the Municipal Commissioner and The Commissioner of Police, asking them to remove the pressure of the lorry gallas and remove the rickshaws parked outside them. Letters have been written earlier also to address the problem of traffic jams but no strict action is taken by the municipal corporation and traffic police. 3000 buses ply at Ahmedabad depot every day In a letter written by the Divisional Director of Ahmedabad Division of Gujarat State ST Corporation, it has been said that about 3000 buses of inter-state buses and about 1.50 lakh passengers are transported to the Central Bus Station Ahmedabad located near Geetamandir in Ahmedabad city. Due to the pressure of food and drink lorries, gallas near the bus station, there is a lot of dirt in the area around the bus station. So that the lorry lanes near the bus station as well as the food and drink lorries should be removed, which will maintain cleanliness and also remove the traffic problem on the road. Proposal to remove pressure from outside Central Bus Station Apart from this, unauthorized parking on the roads where the buses of the bus station are being transported by the rickshaw pullers around the bus station as well as on the roads where the passengers move, the st buses are hindered from passing. There are incidents of accidents. Parking on the roads where passengers move also creates hurdles in the movement of passengers. There is also friction with rickshaw pullers and passengers. At the highest level, serious complaints often arise. Therefore, immediate action should be taken to remove the pressures around the Ahmedabad Central bus station as well as the official parking. Half of the road gets blocked due to rickshaw pullers There is a lot of traffic problem around Geetamandir ST bus stand especially in the evening, there is more traffic. Despite being said to be the busiest four roads, the pressures of your galla outside the ST bus stand and the rickshaw drivers are not removed. A large number of snacks and egg meal lorries are parked on the outside near the Geetamandir ST bus stand, causing dirt on the road and standing on the rickshaw pullers outside it, causing half the road to be closed. There is talk of some people in the vicinity of the bus stand taking instalments to allow lorries to stand. Due to lorries, the income of traders who have shops worth lakhs of rupees has been hit. The traffic police do not remove the large number of rickshaws parked outside the bus stand, but in the bus stand where the two-wheelers of the traders have been parked for some time only to pick up and carry goods, the towing van comes and takes it away. The vehicles of the estate department of the central zone of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation never come to this direction, from ten o'clock in the morning and till late in the night, due to which the pressure is very high there. There is no cleanliness anywhere around the ST bus stand. There have also been complaints that people who have bought shops worth lakhs of rupees and marketed food and drinks at the ST bus stand due to the presence of a lorry galla on the road are not doing business. The corporation will fine those who do business by paying legal taxes but those who stand on the road illegally. No action is taken against them.
