The Bhavnagar Local Crime Branch has taken a major action from the Talaja-Mahuva highway. Acting on a tip-off, police seized a tanker filled with flammable liquid with no safety gear. According to information received from the LCB office, during patrolling, the police received information that a suspicious tanker was parked in the compound of Morlidhar Ginning Mill near Patiya in Sankadasar village. The police reached the spot and checked that the blue colour tanker had 'Gopal Construction, Jhanjmer' written on it and there was no registration number plate on it. The police, while interrogating the two persons present there, found that the tanker was loaded with 5,000 litres of diesel, which costs Rs 3,75,000. The police have arrested Jhavidsha Mehboobsha Pathan (28, Talaja) and Siraj Khan Azam Khan Pathan (46, Talaja) in connection with the case. Police have seized a total of Rs 4,35,100 in cash, including flammable diesel, a tanker without number plates, two barrels and two mobile phones. A case of negligence and illegal activity has been registered against the two accused at Talaja police station and further investigation is underway.
