Vadodara Municipal Corporation has conducted a direct recruitment process for 552 vacant posts of Junior Clerk. The general body meeting of the corporation has approved the conduct of a single written examination elimination test. Earlier, the general body had approved the resolution on January 27 which had approved the written examination, now it has been amended. The process for a total of 552 posts of direct recruitment of junior clerks by The Vadodara Corporation has been going on for a long time. There are an estimated 1,18,774 candidates from different districts. If they have been waiting for recruitment for a long time. Due to the large number of applicants, the government has received approval from the government to conduct the written examination by the Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board regarding the written examination of junior clerks. Under this approval, the standards of the written examination were also approved by the general body before. On the other hand, the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board has received applications from 77 different departments of the government to fill up various posts. Therefore, this recruitment of Vadodara Corporation is likely to take more time due to two different written examinations. There are currently a total of 685 vacancies in head clerk, senior clerk, junior clerk in the corporation. As well as 15 more clerks are about to retire, as a result of which the shortage of staff is increasing. Therefore, the corporation was considering conducting a written examination elimination test in place of two written examinations so that the recruitment process could be completed at the earliest.
