Mahaprasad was organized on the occasion of Hanuman Pragatyotsav at Wadi Hanuman Pol in Vadodara. The event was organised by the Wadi Hanuman Pol Youth Club. A large number of devotees from the city took advantage of the Mahaprasad. The temple of Wadi Hanuman Pol is about 350 years old. According to history, the area was earlier known as Shura Shalvini Pol. At that time, the Shalvi community lived here, who were experts in crafts such as weaving, art and printing. At that time, a bunch of Banzaras came to Vadodara. The head of the poth said that they found the idol of Hanuman Dada on the road, which they were supposed to place in a bullock cart and take to the designated place. The next day, the cart carrying the idol of Hanuman Dada did not move, despite many attempts. The cart did not move forward even after adding more bullocks. Due to this incident, the temple of Hanuman Dada was built here. Hence, Hanuman Dada came to be known as 'Hathila Hanumanji' and the name of Shura Shalvi's Pol was changed to Hanuman Pol. This place is also mentioned in the ancient garba of Vadodara: "Hathiala Hanumanji at the door of Hathiakhana..." The well built at that time near the temple still exists today.
