125 teachers join 700 students in Sanskrit Samman Yatra in honour of language

As part of the Sanskrit Week-Festival organized by the Gujarat State Sanskrit Board, a grand Sanskrit Samman Yatra was organized in Vadodara today. The yatra was held from the district education officer's office. More than 700 students and 125 teachers from 12 schools in the city joined. Along with this, students of Sanskrit Vidyalaya and Sanskrit lovers enthusiastically participated. The one-and-a-half-kilometre-long yatra started at Anavil Bhawan Karelibagh, the office of the district education officer, and returned to Anavil Bhavan after returning from Ved Mandir - Bahucharaji's temple. In this yatra, along with the band, vajte gajte, four Vedas, various tables related to Sanskrit language, banners and Sanskrit literature were displayed in the yatra with respect. District Education Officer Mahesh Pandey, who was present at the event, gave his speech in Sanskrit language. "The main objective of this yatra is to show the importance of Sanskrit language and spread awareness among the people about it. The Sanskrit Week-Mahatsav is being held from 6th to 12th August 2025. On the second day of the week on August 6, there will be a shloka reading competition including elocution, painting competition in the schools of the district. On August 8, programs like Sanskrit literature demonstration, rangoli competition and Sanskrit literary distribution will be held in the Kalaparisar of M.S. University.
