On March 13, 2022, the Vadodara Parents Association (VPA) on Sunday protested at Gandhinagar House against the poor performance of the authorities and the city education officer's office over various issues affecting parents. The VPA protested against the arbitrariness of school administrators at the Gandhinagar House and the implementation of the FRC by wearing a black band. They did not hold a picket becuase vadodara police didn't granted the permission. But more than 200 parents, including all the office bearers and members of the VPA, gathered and protested the government's efforts to suppress the voices of the parents, to ensure proper and prompt implementation of FRC by the Government, followed in the footsteps of Gandhiji, Keep silent by tying a black band near the statue of Gandhiji, An awareness program was organized on some of the issues touching the parents.
The VPA has come out against the way private school administrators are charging fees arbitrarily. The parents said that the government and the school operators together have decided to rob the parents. Parents are harassed by schools in various ways. All fees including other fees, uniform fees, activity fees have been increased in private schools by charging more fees. Which is completely unfair. The fee prescribed by the FRC should be paid by the parents. Even if school administrators have gone on appeal, they can't charge more until a decision is made. Action is necessary against private schools which charge fees more than the fees prescribed by the FRC. The circular was issued on February 18, 2022 and all the school managements decided to start the offline classes from February 21, 2022, while the Fee Regulatory Committee, Gujarat (FRC) has issued the final order for fees several times and still Many private school administrators are not ready to charge fees as per the FRC order. The Vadodara District Education Officer Office or the Education Department of the Government of Gujarat does not take any action against private school administrators who charge high fees. Under whose pressure action is not taken.
