The farmers had submitted to the Mandvi GEB that a new power line should be laid soon after electricity was stolen from kakrapar left bank canal area, which has around 100 connections in Tarsada (Bar) area of Mandvi taluka. According to information received from local sources, about 100 farmers have electricity connections in tarsada area of Kakrapar left bank canal. A total of 32 poles have been installed in the power line and about 50 TCs have been installed in the left bank canal area of Tarsada Karapar. As a result, farmers with about 100 connections are currently facing a new disaster in paddy plantation, many young farmer leaders, including Rajendrasingh Madansingh Mahida, a farmer from Tarsada area, made a representation to the DGVCL demanding that the work of the power line be expedited and the power supply should be restored.
