Under the guidance of the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Gujarat, a special program was organized on women's safety and empowerment in Limkheda under the 'Nari Vandana Utsav'. On this occasion, Abhayam 181 Women Helpline, Limkheda Team gave important guidance by celebrating "Women's Self-Reliance Day" for trainee women at Baroda Self-Employment Center. Abhayam 181's team briefed women on the facilities available for a life safe from violence and explained services such as 24x7 free aid, counselling, police and women's protection centre for women in cases of physical, mental, sexual and domestic violence. In addition, clear information was given on how to bring about a proper solution through the coordination of various agencies of the Government in the circumstances of marital discord and crisis. The trainees were made aware of how to use the 181 Women Helpline and in what circumstances they should be contacted immediately.
