39. From Rajasthan. Liquor worth Rs 65 lakh seized: Jarod police seize container on Vadodara-Halol road, case registered against three, including driver

Based on a tip-off, jarod police recovered a huge quantity of liquor worth Rs 39.65 lakh and other valuables worth Rs 59.85 lakh being brought in a container truck from Asoj village on Vadodara Halol Road. Police have registered a case against three persons, including the container driver, in connection with the case. P.I. of Jarod police station. M. R. Chaudhary informed that the quantity of liquor in a container truck of closed body from Halol is coming towards Vadodara. Based on the information, a watch was set up near Asoj village. Meanwhile, as soon as the batami-based container truck arrived, the police stationed in the watch stopped the container truck and found about 750 boxes in it. A total of 36,048 bottles of liquor were found in the box. P.I. of Jarod police station. M. R. Chaudhary further said that the police arrested the truck container driver Shankarlal Hakmalal Rabari (resident of Kunwaria village, Rabari Faliyan, taluka Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan) and the cleaner of the truck container Rajendrasingh Nirbhaysingh Kitawat (resident of Malkaguda village, Taluka Khamnor, Rajasthan) with the quantity of liquor. In this case, the police seized a truck container with a quantity of liquor, Rs 300 in cash and seized a total of Rs 59,85,580 in cash. A case has been registered against the three accused in connection with the incident at Jarod police station, including truck container driver Shankarlal Rabari, cleaner Rajendrasingh Kitawat and an unknown person who sent the quantity of liquor. The possibility of more details coming out during the investigation of the accused cannot be ruled out.
