New Mexico judge Joel Cano arrested for hiding Tren de Aragua gang member inside home

Former Dona Ana County Judge Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy, were arrested after allegedly harboring Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, a suspected member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. Ortega-Lopez, who entered the US illegally, was found living in the Cano's guesthouse. Authorities discovered gang-related evidence and social media posts showing him with firearms, some allegedly belonging to the Cano's daughter.
