2 held for trying to bribe 8 Odisha MLAs; DK Shivakumar alleges ‘Operation Lotus’

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar alleged that four individuals attempted to bribe eight Odisha Congress legislators with Rs 5 crore each to secure cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha elections. Police have arrested two BJP members, Birendra Prasad and Byatarayanapura Suresh, in connection with the incident, based on a complaint filed by an Odisha Congress MLA.
