Revised bullet train cost Rs 2 lakh crore, 2x of original estimate

Sources said most of the additional funding would come from budgetary support. So far, the funding of Rs 1.1 lakh crore has been from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and budgetary allocation. They added that Railways has said high-speed trains will be manufactured in India and each of these would cost around Rs 390 crore to Rs 400 crore.
