Vadodara, Nov 30: In the post-poll Vadodara Municipal Corporation elections, there were 29 candidates in 19 wards who got less than NOTA votes. In short, NOTA got more votes than these candidates.
A total of 473 nomination papers were filed by 416 candidates in the municipal corporation elections. During verification against the number of these forms, 206 forms were found invalid while 267 forms were valid. Two seats were declared uncontested after seven candidates withdrew their forms, leaving a total of 258 candidates in the fray for the 74 seats.
