Bhaskar Special: A treasure trove of rare photographs of freedom fighters at the Picture Gallery established in 1984 in Amreli city

The Girdharbhai Bal Sangrahalaya in Amreli city has a picture gallery depicting the lives of the immortal heroes of Amreli district who made a unique contribution to the freedom movement of the country. In addition to many rare photographs of freedom fighters, the first Chief Minister of Gujarat, Dr. There are also pictures and information highlighting Jivraj Mehta's life journey. Nilesh Pathak, Director of District Lok Vigyan Kendra, said, "It is a great opportunity to remember the freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for the nation and to draw inspiration from their lives for patriotism, service to the nation and devotion to duty. Established in 1984, the gallery houses freedom fighters of Amreli district and the first Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Rare photographs highlighting the life and work of Jivraj Mehta have been preserved. This gallery not only preserves the history memories, but also inspires the new generation towards the spirit of nationalism, patriotism and responsibility towards the society. He specially appealed to students, youth and all citizens of the district to visit this inspiring gallery of Girdharbhai Bal Sangrahalaya located opposite Ramji Mandir in the city. The Gallery hours are 9 AM to 1 PM and 3:30 PM to 7 PM. The museum is functioning in collaboration with the Department of Museums, Department of Sports, Youth Services and Cultural Activities.
