Vinu Mordia, his wife Shardaben, son Krish and daughter Tina, who lived in Vijaynagar near Yogichowk in Surat, committed suicide by consuming poisonous medicine together. Vinu Mordia called up his elder brother before committing suicide and asked him to take care of the eldest son of the house Parth as well as daughter Ruchita. Now the eldest daughter of the family, Ruchita, has also tried to commit suicide. He has been admitted to a private hospital. According to Sarthana police, Ruchita, the eldest daughter of the Mordia family, had consumed phenyl in the bathroom today. The family rushed him to a private hospital.
Presumed to have taken this step in depression
Police also rushed to the hospital after learning about the incident. Preliminary investigations into the suicide attempt suggest that the step was currently under depression. Meanwhile, the police started taking statements of locals as well as other family members, including his elder brother, in the case. It is suspected that the Surat-based gemstone artist took the final step with the family due to financial constraints.
