On being informed about the incident, Ramol police and traffic police reached the spot and cleared the crowd of people gathered at the spot and traffic jam. Later, the body of the youth was sent to the hospital for postmortem. The Ramol police have registered a case of accidental death and started further investigation. Second incident in a week
On the other hand, there have been incidents of people falling off or jumping off the overbridge in the past as the safety net is short at many places on the CTM double decker overbridge. Another incident has come to light in the last one week. Locals allege that people's lives are being endangered due to the short safety net on the double decker overbridge. There has been a demand to increase the height of the safety net on the overbridge.
