
Religious Conversion In Ahmedabad: Around 200 to 300 people are voluntarily converting in Ahmedabad district every year, according to government records. In the last two-and-a-half years, 545 people from urban and rural areas of Ahmedabad have converted to Islam. More than 95 per cent of the respondents renounced Hinduism and embraced Buddhism. Marriage, personal beliefs and social factors are mainly responsible for conversions.
