Talking about the urban forest in Lambha ward, rs. 4464 sq. This garden has been developed and prepared at a cost of Rs 55 lakh. A total of 8,000 indigenous trees like Saag, Kher, Bamboo, Siras, Sisu, Arjun etc. have been planted through the Miyawaki method. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has achieved the name of making Ahmedabad city the cleanest city in India. In order to make Clean City Ahmedabad a green city, the Municipal Corporation has launched the Mission for Million Trees-2025 to plant 40 lakh trees under the guidance of the Chief Minister. Under the Mission for Million Trees-2025, a target has been set to plant a total of 40 lakh trees across the city. Out of which, a total of 26,50,006 trees have been planted till August 6, 2025. Thus, against the target of 40 lakh, 66 percent tree plantation has been achieved by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. In the coming days, the work of planting the remaining trees will be completed soon. All plantations are monitored by geotagging
Under this mission, extensive tree plantation is being done at various places like lake banks, canal tracks, railway corridors, municipal gardens, educational campuses, governance complexes, road side and central verge. An important milestone of this campaign has been achieved in south Ahmedabad, where environmentally challenging and unsettled lands such as solid waste dumping plots and dumping sites of dead animal debris have been successfully reclaimed and converted into green areas. Tree plantation in these areas has been done in the Miyawaki method, which creates dense and fast-growing forests by local species, which develop habitat and biodiversity in a short period of time. All plantations are monitored by geotagig and special emphasis is laid on the cultivation of local species. There are a total of 310 public gardens in the city.
Adequate arrangements have been put in place for this massive campaign. Machinery like borewell facility, tractor and JCB are available in each zone. A one-year maintenance plan has also been made for each plot to ensure long-term care and growth of the planted trees. Apart from this, there are a total of 310 public gardens in Ahmedabad city, including 19 in the central zone, 30 in the east zone, 82 in the west zone, 40 in the north zone, 40 in the south zone, 68 in the north-west zone and 31 in the south-west zone. A total of more than 1 crore trees have been planted by the Horticulture Department of Ahmedabad in the last 6 years. Talking about the tree plantation done in the last 6 years, a total of 11,58,387 trees have been planted in the year 2019-20, a total of 10,13,856 trees in the year 2020-21, 12,82,014 trees in the year 2021-22, 20,75,431 trees in the year 2022-23, 20,75,431 trees in the year 2022-23. AMC can plant trees of their choice in their homes through the Seva app
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the only city in the country, can register in plantation on demand through AMC Seva app and plant more than 20 varieties of citizens like vada, peepal, lime, borsalli, gulmohar in their home. Through the AMC Seva app, individual maximum 5, society maximum 10, corporate organization maximum 25 and institute maximum 50 trees can be demanded. Thus, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has also appealed to all the citizens to join this 'Mission Three Million Trees' campaign. What is the 'Mission Three Million Trees' campaign?

In Ahmedabad city, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has so far prepared oxygen parks / urban forests in 198 plots through the Miyawaki system as well as dense tree plantation in the plots. Talking about the zone of Ahmedabad, 58 in the East Zone, 30 in the West Zone, 29 in the North Zone, 18 in the South Zone, 32 in the North West Zone and 31 in the South West Zone, a total of 198 oxygen parks / urban forests are included.
