A plane flying for a medical evacuation suddenly disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean. The plane reported an emergency and an electrical problem. It then lost radio and radar contact. The US Coast Guard launched a search operation and later recovered the wreckage associated with the plane south of Nantucket. The plane was carrying six people, including two pilots, two medical personnel, a patient and a relative of the patient.
Last Moments Recording Came Front
According to Reuters, the Canadian-registered Gulfstream G100 aircraft was operated by Latitude Air Ambulance. The plane took off from Bermuda's LF Wade International Airport at around 12:41 a.m. local time on Saturday. Its destination was Boston's Logan International Airport.
The recording of the air traffic control posted on LiveATC.net shows the conversation of the last moments of the flight. The controller asked the pilot, " You said you were coming without looking, is that what you said?" The pilot's answer was not clearly audible. The controller then asked if the crew was declaring an emergency.
